Searching messages

You can search for mail messages based on search text that you enter. You can perform a search in the Find Emails field or you can refine your search using the advanced search options.

The search text in the Find Emails field can be one or more words and/or partial words in any order, and the search results will include all email messages with matching text in the:

From, To, Cc, Bcc and Subject fields.

Body of the message.

To search for files and messages:

  1. In the Search Mail Emails field, enter the keywords that you want to search for.
  2. Click
  3. The search results are displayed.

    Note: Depending on your mail service provider, you may only be able to perform a search of mail messages based on Subject in the Find Emails field.

To search for messages using advanced search:

  1. Click in the search field to open the Advanced Search options in the Mail toolbar.
  2. Enter the search criteria. You can search the Recipient, Sender, and Subject fields of your messages. You can also search the Body of your messages. You can restrict the search to a specific Folder by selecting one from the drop-down menu. You can restrict the search to a date range by specifying either a From Date, a To Date, or both.
  3. Click Search.

    Note: The Search button will be unavailable until you fill out at least one of the search fields.
